The Daigneault News
weeks #22 & 23 February 14, 2020
Three snow days and one two hour delay these past two weeks have made wrapping things up before vacation a wee bit difficult! Some students are bringing some unfinished work to finish at home and return on Monday, February 24. We have lost many extra non special catch up days due to snow days, NEWEA testing, Panther Pride assembly and sickness! Please make sure all homework that is overdue is also completed and returned by Monday, February 24, 2020. I sent
home new packets of homework with your child (if they owed homework) on Wednesday, February 12, 2020. I wrote the child’s name and #2 next to their name.
is not optional! It is sent home every Monday
and is due every Friday. Next week your child will have only one assignment, “Work on unfinished cursive handwriting pages”. Please see the homework cover sheet for detailed information.
Our next Unit of Studies grade 3 unit will be mystery books. If you have any fiction reading books like: Nancy Drew, Cam Jansen, Scooby Doo that our class could have we would love to add them to our library.
Please ask your child to review the behavior matrix’s expectations at home too! We have daily review of voice level expectations in various areas/settings of the school and how to look and sound in those areas/settings as well.
Students need their winter gear for recess daily and for gym class. Students are starting cross country skiing in gym. Please check the paper Mrs. Printup sent home with your child before Christmas break for more information.
If you have extra snow pants, boots, mittens, and sneakers that your child can keep at school that would be helpful. Winter gear may be stored in cubbies and ready for the next day. Students should have a change of shoes so they don’t wear their boots all day too!
Have a great winter break and I’ll see everyone on Monday, February 24!
Please check out my website to view newsletters, important information, schedules, and upcoming events. I look forward to working with you and your child. Please contact me with any questions or concerns.
