Deborah E. Daigneault
I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you. As a grade three teacher at Poland Community School, I will have the pleasure of spending the next school year with your son or daughter! I am excited about the year ahead, and am looking forward to meeting you and your child.
During the Coming year, your child and I will be spending many, many hours in the classroom together. And I want you to know that there is no place I would rather be, and no job that I would rather have. Together, as parents and teacher, we can truly provide a comfortable, stimulating, nurturing, and challenging environment for your child. My promise to you is that I will consistently put the best interest of your child first, keep you informed about your child's growth and classroom activities, and always welcome your input and support. As the year progresses I also encourage you to contact me with any concerns, questions, or comments you might have. You can always leave a message for me on my voice mail, write me a note, or e-mail me (This contact information is located at the top of every page).
Third grade is a stimulating, exciting place to be! I will be send home a booklet with the various things we do in grade 3 at a later date!
I live in Auburn with my husband Jim and children, Marc Leo (13 yrs.) and Michael (7 yrs.,) . I also have two step sons Stephen (27yrs.) and Brandon (26yrs.) who are now young adults and on their own. My step daughte,r, Becky (20). I enjoy sewing, reading and baking in my spare time. I grew up in Minot and attended Minot Consolidated School grades 1-8 and then attended Walton and Edward Little High Schools in Auburn, Maine.. I completed my 4 year degree at the University of Maine at Farmington and then worked one year in the Lewiston School system as a Title 1 teacher before joining the Poland Community School team as a grade 5 teacher. Over the years I have found my true passion in the primary grades working with the youngers..
This is my 23rd year at Poland School! I am excited to work with all of my new grade 3 families!
