The Daigneault News
week 9 November 1, 2019
Hello from grade 3!
Conferences are next week! If you haven’t returned your conference form please contact me since dates and times are limited. I will do my best to help accommodate schedules!
Learners focused on their end of unit assessment in math this week on Number Stories and Arrays. In Science students have been working on Life Cycles of Animals for part one. Next week we will focus more on animal life cycles and jump into plant life cycles. In Reading Workshop we are focusing on reading informational texts and finding the main idea and supporting details . In Writing Workshop we are focusing on narrative writing with strong leads and dialogue. As always we are continuing to work on behavior and be the very best each and every day! Our class is modeling using signing as a way to talk level “0” in the hallways or common areas while they wait. They have also had success with the “Lunchtime Fidget Tool” box which is a box of quiet activities that kiddos use to remain calm after eating their lunch in the lunchroom while waiting. We are always working towards being respectful, responsible and safe every day!
Our class is in need of baby wipes (unscented) to wash table tops, brooms and a mop to help clean our floors. Any donation is greatly appreciated!
Please check out my website to view newsletters, important information, schedules, and upcoming events. Just log on to the the site listed at the bottom of this letter.
I look forward to working with you and your child. Please contact me with any questions or concerns.
