The Daigneault News
weeks 13 &14 December 6, 2019
A few notes to keep in mind:
1. Homework is assigned by the classroom teacher (Mrs. Daig). I DO NOT ask guest teachers to assign homeowork. If there is a project I will assign it in advance and post it on Weebly. Guest Teachers have a detailed plan for what they need to teach in my class and assigning homework is not something I ask them to do. I will post this expectation in my Guest Teacher Notebook for future reference.
2. Famous Person Costume- Students have been learning about a famous person of their choice from our Units of Study Reading. Last Monday I assigned homework to find 3 accomplishments that their famous person is know for. I wasn’t planning on asking parents to help find this information but it is a lot for one person of 21 students and one computer to research! Thank you to everyone who helped! On Monday, December 9, 2019 I am asking my students to bring a costume (it may be one item like glasses or a wig or a hat) to school that they can change into as they present their Famous Person Bio Poster to their classmates. Students will be presenting throughout the week so having a costume ready is key. Students should find something around the house they could use. Please do not go out and purchase or sew a costume unless you want to.
What can I do at home to help support the teachings in the classroom?
Thank you very much to the mystery donor! Someone donated a box of wipes and there wasn’t a sender name. Thank you! We are in need of tissues only! Thank you for the wonderful support and donations of time and supplies to our class!
Please check out my website to view newsletters, important information, schedules, and upcoming events. Just log on to the the site listed at the bottom of this letter.
I look forward to working with you and your child. Please contact me with any questions or concerns.
