week # 34
May 19, 2017
Hello from grade 2! Students have made some great gains on the mini informational sea creature books. We are in hopes to finish the rough drafts within the next week and then have our Learning Buddies help us edit them.
Grade 2 went to Ferry Beach Ecology School this week. The weather was beautiful and made our beach lesson a little more enjoyable. Students worked with a Ferry Beach educator and learned how animals/birds/plants adapt to living on the beach. Students did many cool hands on activities to help them learn how.
We are still in need of nylons and more potting soil. If you can hep us by donationing to our class we would greatly appreciated what you can do!
Students have gym class on Tuesdays. Students need to wear appropriate dress and sneakers. Students may keep a pair of sneakers at school.
Thank you to friends who have donated items or time to our class. We greatly appreciate your thoughtfulness!
Again, I look forward to working with you and your child. Please contact me with any questions or concerns.
