The Daigneault News
week #15
December 8, 2017
This week students started pre assessments for their new Student Learning Goals, met a kind elf who has helped us show respectful, responsible and safe behaviors and learned how Christmas is celebrated in various parts of the world. So far, we have learned about: Germany, Mexico, Australia and Canada.
Felix was our Star Student of the Week. We learned some cool and interesting facts about him. Come check out our Star Student Star in the hallway!
Homework is due on Monday, December 11! Homework packet #13 will be sent home on Monday, January 8, 2018 and due the following Monday.
Please check your child’s Weekly Tote (white folder with the blue paw print) for weekly papers. Please remove the papers and return the tote to school. This week your child tote should have the following news from the classroom: week #15 newsletter and Santa’s Workshop Donations Wanted list.
We have a snack break every morning upon arrival. Please make sure your child has a healthy snack and drink.
Treasure Box donations needed! If you have any items such as:
McDonald Happy Meal toys, bookmarks, pencils, small toys, pens, books, small trinkets (Dollar Tree items), notebooks, crayons, Playdough, necklaces, toy rings, erasers, Matchbox cars, or fun note pads we would love to have them for our Traesure Box! Students will have Treasure Box Day next Friday. Students have been earning Paw Coins for great classroom behavior and they are super excited to cash them in for treasure!
Cooler weather is approaching and your child will need to dress appropriately. Please send layers of clothing with your child so they can adjust, as the days get cooler or warmer.
Monday is Library Day! Don’t forget to bring your books! Students have gym class on Tuesday. Please send sneakers and appropriate dress.
Toys and electronics are not permitted in my class unless they remain in the students’ school bag. It is the responsibility of the student if a toy/electronic is lost or damaged.
Again, I look forward to working with you and your child. Please contact me with any questions or concerns.
