The Daigneault News
week #3
September 15, 2017
This was out first full week of school and it was packed with a lot of presentations and new add ons to our academic program!
Congratulations to Kailyn. She is the Student of the Month for September in our room. Way to go for being a responsible citizen.
Students added phonics/spelling to their program. Good fit word lists will be sent home in the near future. Each student will have their own individual word list to practice at home as well as in the classroom. For now we are just getting started.
This week we had our first Panther Pride assembly. Mr. Benoit and & Mrs. Comeau shared our new Pride Dollars! I wonder what my kiddos will save their dollars for?
Our class also had their first Guidance class lesson this week too. Mrs. T came in and did an activity with the class. Ask your child what story they read and what is in the green basket!
Star Student of the Week has started too. I was the star of the week this week. My class learned a lot of new things about me! Natalea will be next week.
Homework will go home on Monday. We will start out with a reading log. Please have your child record minutes read so we can tally them for our Reading Challenge board! All reading logs will be due the following Monday.
Please check your child’s Weekly Tote (white folder with the blue paw print) for weekly papers. Please remove the papers and return the tote to school. This week your child tote should have the following news from the classroom: week #3 newsletter.
We have a snack break every morning upon arrival. Please make sure your child has a healthy snack and drink.
Cooler weather is approaching and your child will need to dress appropriately. Please send layers of clothing with your child so they can adjust, as the days get cooler or warmer.
Students have gym class on Tuesday. Please send sneakers and appropriate dress.
Toys and electronics are not permitted in my class unless they remain in the students’ school bag. It is the responsibility of the student if a toy/electronic is lost or damaged.
Again, I look forward to working with you and your child. Please contact me with any questions or concerns.
